Elijah lived an amazing life. He was fed by ravens. He saw the widow’s supply of oil and flour miraculously never run out. He raised her son back to life. And he faced down the prophets of Baal at Mount Carmel. Elijah was as human as we are, and yet when he prayed earnestly that no rain would fall, none fell for three and a half years. Then, when he prayed again, the sky sent down rain, and the earth began to yield its crops. Elijah was bold; he believed that the faithful would get an answer to even the most audacious prayer. He prayed through until he received an answer. Pray so that you may be healed; the earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results. Elijah is a gatekeeper in his own right as he allows passage from the physical world to the spiritual world. 

Saint Elijah Prayer: “O glorious St. Elijah, ever a mirror of sanctity and justice, while living in this valley of tears, obtain for us of God the grace to be your followers on earth, that we may one day be partakers with you in the everlasting glory in heaven.  O great Patriarch of the Order of Mount Carmel, teacher of God's people and the defender of their Faith, disperse, we entreat you, the darkness of our intellect, obscured by our evil passions, and preserve in our hearts the Faith which is kept living by works of charity.  O holy Patriarch of the Most high, taken into heaven in a chariot of fire, and who shall be the precursor of Christ, when He shall come in the splendor of his infinite majesty to judge the living and the dead, pray for us, that loving Him and sincerely serving Him on earth, we may have the great happiness of loving Him for all eternity in the blessed kingdom of heaven. AMEN.”

Saints are spiritual beings who have been tasked with maintaining this Earth, watching over the affairs of humanity, and each has dominion over a portion of nature. Each is identified with natural forces as well as with human interests or endeavors. These Saints are mediators between humanity and the Supreme Being. 

Pray to Saints because they are already in heaven, and they can intercede for you. In moments of anxiety, you need to hope and believe in something that helps you recover faith and maintain peace in your life.

Each time you light the candle, ask for what you desire or what help is needed in your life. Lighting a prayer candle is a way to leave the old behind and begin a new life just as if you were born again; the sense being akin to the resurrection, and it leaves your sins behind you, giving a new aspect and a new look into your life, without being burdened by your old sins and your old mistakes. 

Prayer is the master key. Prayer is the key to all earthly problems. Praying is more than just mere words; it must come from deep within you, from your very soul. The exercise of prayer requires tranquility and peace of mind. The essence of prayer is faith; it is your motive power that comes from within you, and its movement must be directed upwards to where all earthly favors come from.

Anyone can make their prayers come true. This is as sure as the rise of tomorrow’s sun. If you knew how you would feel if your prayer were answered, and if you could consciously realize just how you could awaken such a feeling in yourself, you would travel a long way toward learning how to make your dreams come true. Imagination is the beginning of creation. You must imagine what you desire and believe it to be true. True prayer can come only from within yourself.       

Instructions: Light the candle with a match or lighter and say a prayer of your choice. You can put the candle out at any time or let it burn to the end. Each time you relight the candle, say a prayer to reenergize your goals. You can write your name on the candle's glass to personalize the prayer. Use a black marker and write your name or another person's name on the candle. After the candle has fully burned down, you can throw away the glass.
